Everything was perfect and we couldn’t have chosen a better place to hold our event. We were so pleased with the service and organization and felt that Woodwinds was actively involved in making sure we had a great evening. Our guests loved your venue and overall service so much that some have contacted us asking us about pricing, etc.,so hopefully you will be getting a few phone calls yourself! Having a wedding at Woodwinds was the best decision my husband and I made. We looked at a few other places, thought we fell in love, but in reality, Woodwinds had everything and more. Being that I am from Pennsylvania I was looking for something that stood out or had meaning to me. The quaintness of Woodwinds brought me back to my childhood and made me feel like I had a piece of home here in CT.
Prior to visiting, I had this vision of a summer or fall wedding and my vision completely changed after visiting at the end of November when the Christmas décor had been setup. My husband and I are not fond of the cold wintery weather, but we LOVE the holidays so after seeing the décor, enjoying the nostalgic feeling of home, and seeing the holiday price they were offering we were sold! And December 3rd, 2016 was the best day of our lives!
The process was SUPER easy! A booklet included all vendors they have worked closely with, information on the grounds, and a checklist for the full year prior to the wedding to follow. This checklist also included specifics on what should be included in the save the dates, invitations, and table cards. Every time I had a question I received an answer sometime that same day. If they did not email, I was getting a phone call. I was able to send a copy of my invitation to get clarification I had all I needed and got the ok to send them. We were constantly notified through email and letters that stated when our due dates for our deposits were and when we would begin our tasting. We were always kept in the loop!
The week of the big day we were able to drop all of our décor as we arrived for our rehearsal. Everything went very smooth and I had no worries about the structure of the day. Scott handled everything with grace and his jokes and sarcasm made us even more comfortable! During our wedding day, we were greeted as we arrived following our first look and once the ceremony began, Scott never left my side. Immediately after the ceremony we were all rushed upstairs to stuff our face with our gourmet hors d’oeuvres so we didn’t miss out on anything! We had instruction the entire night and were guided to different areas when needed. After greeting our guests Antonella grabbed my arm and simply said, “it’s time for you to eat now.”
Every little detail was taken care of and not once did I have to worry. We highly recommend any type of event at Woodwinds because the grounds are breathtaking and the staff are all remarkable. My wedding day could not have gone any better and I thank everyone who made it so special for my husband and I!

You guys are the best!!! Your service is phenomenal, the food was great, the facility was fantastic. I received so many compliments for our wedding; we were so happy. One of the most interesting compliments came from my sister in law who has two small children that were running around in their bare feet all night. She said at the end of the night she went to wash their feet expecting to find them completely dirty and said that there was nothing on them!! She said wow you can really tell that facility is great- and they really take the time to take care of everything. It was a great night and I really cannot say enough about Scot and Antonella- they are fantastic. They knew what we needed before we knew we needed something. They are worth their weight in gold.

My husband and I just wanted to thank everyone for everything they did before and during our wedding on November 26th. Scott and Antonella were beyond amazing they were so attentive to not only myself and my husband’s needs but to everyone in our bridal party and all of our guests. Everyone who attended the wedding still to this day can not say enough fabulous things about how amazing the food was, how beautifully decorated the venue was and how clean and elegant it was. They also continue to compliment how amazing and attentive all the staff were to everyone’s needs. I knew the moment I walked into Woodwinds the day of my wedding that I would have nothing to worry about and I was beyond amazed. Every little detail that I imagined and envisioned for our wedding was there and more. I wish I could rewind time and do it all again because it was such an enjoyable evening. I can’t wait for future events in the family to be able to come back and celebrate there and maybe down the road have a renewal of vows there as well. Thank you all so much for your love, care and warmth on such a special day that could have been a total disaster and super stressful if it wasn’t for all of your amazing staff.

WoodWinds was the perfect choice for our wedding. My husband and I could not have asked for a more perfect night. Frank and I would like to thank everyone at the Woodwinds for making our day spectacular. Not only did Frank and I enjoy our day but our guests are still talking about it. The food was exceptional and our guests were beyond full when they left that night. Everything was what we had hoped it to be and more. Our Photographers and DJ said that Scott and his staff were so helpful and they are going to recommend your facility to future brides and grooms.
Scott and his staff went above and beyond for our day and we couldn’t thank him anymore. He kept us on track even when unexpected events happened. None of our guest knew what was going on and the wedding flowed so easily. 12 days prior, my father passed away unexpectedly. He was looking forward to this day. I can say without a doubt he would have loved every minute of it.
Thank you to your staff for helping me to keep his memory alive. My brothers and I really do appreciate it. Thank you all for everything. It was a beautiful day and so much more.

From the moment we booked our wedding until we walked out the doors at the end of our wedding night, the Woodwinds staff took excellent care of EVERYTHING. I was really nervous planning a wedding from out of state, but I honestly didn’t have to worry about a thing. Joanna answered any questions I had throughout the process quickly. When it came to the week of our wedding we were reassured by Scott and company that our vision would become a reality. Scott and his team are truly wedding experts and have really tailored their process down to a science.
The food was great, the staff were friendly and our day went off without a hitch, even with it being the HOTTEST day of the year. The Woodwinds team kept our bridal party and guests hydrated and made sure everyone was as comfortable as possible. On the day of our wedding I honestly didn’t have to lift a finger because everything was handled for us. It really was amazing. Our friends and family are still talking about the appetizers and how fun our wedding was.
We had the time of our lives and we’re really happy that we chose to have our wedding at the Woodwinds!

Our day at Woodwinds was fantastic and the best day of my life. Scott and Antonella Were such a big help and she even helped my bridesmaids with my bustle (she’s a pro!)
It went so smoothly and it was so much fun. Everyone raved about the food and about how much fun they had. Some people even commented that it was the best wedding they have ever been too!!
Thank you to woodwinds for being everything I dreamed about for my wedding day and more!! I will forever tell anyone I know about how amazing woodwinds is and I can only hope to attend a wedding there as a guest!!

We had such a great time at my parents 50th wedding anniversary. Woodwinds is such a beautiful facility and the staff was very accommodating from beginning to end. My husband and I just had our wedding here on June 18. We worked with Scott and he helped make our day so special! Our guests two weeks later are still continuing to comment on how much food there was and how delicious it was! The room looked beautiful when we arrived that afternoon, all if the entrees were served within a few minutes of one another for 150 guests, and Scott worked perfectly with each one of our vendors to make sure everything that we wanted to happen did happen on our big day. The grounds are beautiful at the woodwinds for pictures and the ceremony space by the waterfall area is where we got married and guests kept saying how beautiful it was back there. I am so happy we picked to get married here. We got the best package woodwinds offered with a few add ons (extended open bar till midnight) and late night munchies and we still made out like bandits :). Thank you JoAnna, Scott, and the entire wait and bar staff for helping our evening be so memorable!!!!!!! I only hope to come back again soon so I can make sure I try all the food I missed out on because I was too busy gabbing!

You are ALL amazing! People are still talking about our wedding! The staff, the service, the food, the décor, just everything was absolutely amazing. There’s a reason why you guys are the best! Everyone went above and beyond for us. So many brides have told me stories of their weddings and how they never had time for so many things and even miss out on eating & enjoying their day: But, NOT this bride!
